Growing Herbs

At Crooked Bear Creek Organic Herbs, we take our herb business seriously. Growing herbs are not hard, you do not need to be an experienced gardener to begin growing your own herbal plants for remedies, culinary use, or just for the sheer fun of it. Learn the basics needed to plant, grow, and properly harvest herbs, as well as tips on establishing healthy soil, best habitats, and plant preferences, whether you have a traditional outdoor garden or containers indoors or out. Discover how to gather herbs, save seed, and dry and preserve your harvest to create healing remedies. By raising herbs yourself – even if you only grow a single plant – you’ll have a ready source of organic and healthy medicine for harvesting and healing.

  • Hi there. I just discovered the comments under leave a message so I’ll just rewrite 🙂 Just to say that this is a really nice blog and I wonder if you have any links you can send me for anything that can deal with anxiety attacks. I have tried the flower remedies and they didn’t help. Also lavender, no joy! have a fab Sunday 🙂

    Hello, Andy! Thank you for your wonderful comment. Have you tried using herbs such as ashwaganda, ligustrum, valerian, kava, lemon balm or motherwort? All are used for anxiety either in a tincture, teas. There is also capsules of GLA {Gamma linolenic acid is a fatty substance found in various plant seed oils such as borage oil and evening primrose oil}, which is found in evening primrose, borage and black currant seed oils.
    When we do not make our own tinctures, tonics, etc. We use Mountain Meadow Herbs. {http://mountainmeadowherbs.com/}
    Thank you for your question and I hope I was a bit helpful. Please keep me updated.
    Sincerely, Diana
